The nomination of the 94th Academy award also popularly known as the Oscar Award has been announced yesterday and the ceremony will be held on March 27th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The Academy Award list includes a wide range of categories of films to its nomination shortlist.
The “Power of the Dog” film directed by Jane Campion nods 12 Oscar nominations. Denzel Washington is nominated for another Oscar as he already holds his 9th Oscar Award and is already a record of the most nominated Black actor.
Other Black personalities that hold great laurels in the movie industry are Will Smith actor as lead actor, Aunjanue Ellis actress of a support role for the film “King Richard” while Beyoncé Knowles nods her first Oscar award for the song “Be Alive” in this film.
The movie “King Richard” is a true-life story of the two famous tennis players Venus and Serena Williams and their father Richard Williams who is also their manager. This story film is nominated as one of the Best Picture, Original Screenplay and Film Editing.
