President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are correctly on their first official international trip after taking office at the White house in January. They started off the administration trip by first visiting Saudi Arabia and moved on to Israel, Italy and then to Belgium.
This trip means a serious wardrobe update for the First Lady which is quite understanding but is totally irrational and extravagant for her to wear a coat worth $51,500 to an official event. Do we call it a show off or a fashion parade? The Flotus sartorial decisions to this trip fell on the 80s-style favouring fitted and conspicuous shouldered outfits like fit skirt, wide waist belts, fit coats and dresses.
The Flotus stepped out of the Air Force One in a McCartney black jumpsuit and a pronounced gold waist cinched belt from Saint Laurent Stella which she also wore to the medalling of Potus Donald Trump by the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. She also visited the General Electric All women process service center in Riyah where she also showed moral involvement in empowering the women with a nice speech on child education.
She went for a monochromatic look in an all-white Michael Kors shouldered skirt- suit and a matching cinched belt and then paired it up with a red and white zebra printed heels from Manolo Blahnik which I find elegant and corporate for an official event.
I’m not here to speak bad about first Lady Melania Trump for this but to address the fact that the dress code was not called for. It’s absurd for her to show up on a pricey tagged coat worth $51,500 to the Chierici Palace to meet with her fellow G7 members wives in Catania, It looked more like a “I own the best wardrobe sartorial than you” a fashion parade kind of a thing.
She wore a simple beige fitted dress and a coordinating pump and, carried an embroidered clutch for $1,630 that matched with her coat. We learnt that the coat is from Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear Collection which is not yet available in most stores.
The Flotus went from looking pricey to looking classy sticking to the coat-belt dress code she wore from the beginning of the trip.
Melania Trump landed Brussel in a blue and white squared belted long suit-dress from Michael Kors and a coordinating pump heels from Manolo Blahnik. This is absolutely one of my favorite look I like on her on this trip and she looks stunning and beautiful and I’m so digging this style. It is obvious the US First Lady is fashion minded and that’s cool and chic of her and we look forward to seeing her on more stunning and not too expensive outfit for her next official trips.
