One curious question we know many could be asking now is. What importance does fashion portray when global health is under a threat, considering how contagious and deadly is the Coronavirus?
Paris Fashion Week might seem a little cynic or just an excuse to cheer people, but though is quite obvious that fashion has it own rules just like a champagne bottle once corked out you can’t get it back in, you just have to finish what you started. Which is to say, designers and stylist have long been working for months if not years on developing and presenting their collections this year before the Coronavirus surfaced and became a global threat.
Due to this reason, France has experienced serious drop in tourism these pasts months and the Paris Fashion Week was an event to lighten up the city of love once again which brought various fashion enthusiasts, designers, supermodels & models, stylist and photographers together.
The most prominent brands and Designers that top the runway list of the Paris Fashion Week 2020 with their collections were Nicolas Ghesquière designer for 2020 fall collection for Louis Vuitton, Virginie Viard for Chanel collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri creative designer for Dior collection, Jonathan Anderson for Loewe collection, Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga collection, Alexander McQueen, Hedi Slimane for Celine’s collection, Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent, Julien Dossena for Paco Rabanne female collection, John Galliano for Maison Margiela collection.
New distinguished designers like Kenneth Ize a Nigerian fashion designer who presented his collections in Asoke & lace preserving the rich African style with an eye catching supermodel like Naomi Campbell to present the collection on the runway.

Surprisingly the Paris Fashion Weeks wasn’t only for fashion business but some came to also win souls for God. We learnt that Kanye West didn’t just come to secure the bag but he also came to steward the bag for Jesus Christ. The Designer and Rapper didn’t only just come to participate in the Paris fashion week to present his new collection YEEZY Season 8 but he also brought Jesus along and his special Sunday Service gospel choir to perform at the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord which literally gave the fashion enthusiast something more to focus on during the weekend.

Northie West performance one of her favourite song from Zaza at the Yeezy Season 8 Finale and Kim didn’t hide her emotion to share in her Instagram feed. What a proud mother she would be.
The Sunday service was held in the venue as an intimate event and strictly by invitation, it kicked off with the song “Jesus Is King” and ended with “Balm in Gilead” while the singing ministration was on many fashion-faith converted supporters stood on their feet in their Louboutin shoes, Balenciaga coats, cheering the choirs, clapping, singing along and throwing their hand in the air occasionally giving us some Hallelujah confirmation wave. Honestly, it’s amazing to know many turned up to the Kanye West Sunday Service to receive something new and different from the usual they’re used to seeing in a Fashion week.

During the Sunday service the pastor gave an anti-materialist sermon that openly questioned many’s fashion belief and ethics which we assume must have been quite uncomfortable for many. I quote as reported by Vogue
“A lot of time we put our faith and trust in people, we put our faith and trust in material things,“ said the pastor. “ A lot of times those things fail us.”
the pastor went on explaining those material things that can fail one and ending the sermon with a choice for everyone to choose in whom to place their belief on.
At the Sunday service Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West and daughter North West were there, his sister in-law Kourtney Kardashian and their friends Jacquemus, Olivier Rousteing, Haider Ackermann and Michele Lamy. Kanye was still sharing gaze and smiles with his loved ones as he stood in the middle of the choirs, there’s no joy like when you feel you’re been supported by your own people.

We are glad to know that Kanye hasn’t just made a vow to God to walk alone but he has also made the vow “me and my household will serve the Lord”, which was a thoughtful decision bringing people of different belief together to listen to the gospel even if it took 90 minutes of their time in such a peculiar occasion as the Paris Fashion Week and we think this is really cool and is one of the best things that happened in the fashion industry.
