5 Minutes Craft that will Convince You to Keep your ClothesPins

Are you tired of seeing clothes pins littering around your garden or laundry room? Now you won’t have to worry anymore about seeing those broken pins as this article will give you some handy tips that you can follow.

Pegs

In this article I’m going to show you how to recycle a ClothesPins step by step and turn them into a piano keys sunburst wall mirror in just 5 minutes. This 5 minutes craft will convince you to rethink before your throw away a peg as recycling is the economical way of reusing things that may seem useless or worn-out.

These are the things you’ll be needing:

  • Some sets of Clothes Pins/ Pegs
  • Plywood
  • Paints of your choice
  • Mirror
  • Special Mirror Glue
  • Glue Gun and Stick
  • Musical signs “optional”

Materials used

The first thing to do is to undo the pins from the metal and separate them as the metals will not be useful for the creation of the piano keys mirror.

Take a plywood measure it and cut it into a circle then hand paint or spray paint it together with the pins and let them dry overnight.

Now is time to bring all the items closer on your desk to start creating, insert the glue stick into the glue gun and allow it to get really hot. Once is hot place the melting glue behind each pins and stick them one after the other on the plywood.

Don’t stuff the pins too closely to each other. In fact here you’ll need to apply a little bit of logic by separating the pins from each other to create room for closing the circle.

When complete put some special mirror glue in the middle of the circle where the mirror will stay and place the mirror, then put something heavy like a bottle of 2 Litre water on top and leave it overnight to allow the mirror stick firmly onto the plywood.

It will look like this when you but the bottle on top of the mirror. Follow all the steps and do the same as shown in the pictures above.

Piano Mirror

That is true Einstein! Creativity is a rare talent and having fun creating is the major part of it.

It’s so amazing how painting can transform an old thing into new, I just love the whole idea of recycling, reusing, recreating and crafting. Taking 5 – 10 minutes of your time to create this is totally worth it, but if you don’t have that time to spare then you can head over to my store to shop the Vanity Mirror tray with Piano Key design which also serves as a decorative glass tray. Literally it serves a two in one purpose.
